Peter McGuinness’ Newcastle Jets Youth outfit will challenge Charlestown City Blues this Sunday at Lisle Carr Oval in Round 5 of the Northern NSW PS4 National Premier League (NPL). Kick-off is 2:30pm.
Jets Youth will battle the Blues on the back of a last start 1-0 victory over Weston Workers Bears at Rockwell Automation Park.
The junior Jets were due to catch-up their round 3 fixture against Maitland FC twice during mid-week, however on both Tuesday and Wednesday the game set down for Cooks Square Park was postponed.
Reece Papas was dismissed last round against the Bears, and will miss this weekend’s encounter.
Charlestown City have played just two matches so far this campaign, compared to Jets Youth’s three.
In round one the Blues were trumped 4-0 by Edgeworth FC, however they managed to score four of their own on Sunday 19 April as they emerged victors over Adamstown Rosebud 4-2.Â
