Newcastle Jets Youth recorded their second straight win in the Northern NSW PS4 National Premier League (NPL) with a comfortable 3-1 victory over Charlestown City Blues at Lisle Carr Oval on Sunday.

Goals to Radovan Pavicevic and Tom Whiteside helped the junior Jets to a 2-1 lead at half time, before an own goal following a Nick Cowburn free kick rounded out the scoring.

Peter McGuinness’ side currently sit fourth in the ten team Northern NSW PS4 NPL on seven points following their first four games. Weston Bears lead the competition on ten points, however they are the only team in the league to have played all five of their scheduled matches to date – inclement weather restricting most sides to three or four fixtures from the opening five weeks of the campaign.

This Sunday Jets Youth will play third place Hamilton Olympic at Darling Street Oval. Due to the Hyundai A-League Grand Final between Melbourne Victory and Sydney FC at AAMI Park, the match kick-off has been moved forward to 1:30pm.
