The Newcastle Jets can today advise that Daniel Alessi and the club have agreed to the mutual termination of the remainder of his contract, effective immediately.
It is understood that the young defender will take up an opportunity elsewhere.
Alessi joined the Jets at the beginning of the 2016/17 Hyundai A-League season, after working his way through the Western Sydney Wanderers’ youth system.
Upon his arrival in Newcastle, disaster struck in the first few weeks of training for Alessi, who went down with a torn ACL – ruling him out for the entire 2016/17 season.
The Newcastle Jets would like to thank Daniel for his time at the club and wish him the very best in his future endeavours.
