QR National has unveiled the recipients of its inaugural round of volunteer awards run in partnership with the Hunter Sports Group.
With the successful launch of the QR National Volunteer program in March and the stream of entries that followed, the recipients of the April Volunteer awards have now been announced.
As part of QR National-s Major Partnership with the Newcastle Knights and Newcastle Jets, the program acknowledges the valuable contribution that volunteers make to junior rugby league and football clubs within the Newcastle and Hunter Valley region.
The winners of the April Awards are:
Junior Rugby League
Jackie Brown – Thornton Beresfield Junior Rugby League Football Club
Vanessa Pleash – Dudley Magpies Junior Rugby League Football Club
Junior Football
Ross Buxton – Shortland United Junior Football Club
Heath Stewart – Newcastle Football Association
The QR National Volunteer Program rewards every nominee, so every club is encouraged to nominate their Volunteers. Two winners from each code will be selected every month with the closing date for nominations being 30 July 2012. The recipients for the May Volunteer of the Month award will be selected in mid June with the winners being posted on the Knights and Jets websites.
