REVIEW: Jets beaten by Finals-bound Wanderers

Thumbnail

Newcastle Jets suffered a 3-0 defeat to Western Sydney Wanderers at McDonald Jones Stadium on Saturday.

A headed double to Wanderers skipper Robbie Cornthwaite combined with a 42nd minute strike from attacker Jaushua Sotirio did the damage for the visitors in the Hunter.

Newcastle Jets must now prepare themselves for a penultimate round F3 Derby away to Central Coast Mariners next Sunday.

Mariners are 10th on the competition standings, and the Jets 9th. The winner should avoid the dreaded wooden spoon.

Tickets for Sunday’s F3 Derby are available here. All full season Jets Members can access the game free of charge. Bus tickets from Newcastle to Gosford and back can be purchased here.
