Newcastle Jets will play at Hunter Stadium for the final time in Hyundai A-League season 11 on Easter Saturday against Perth Glory.

The round 25 fixture will provide Jets players, coaches, and officials with the chance to thank its Members and supporters for their backing throughout the club’s 2015/16 campaign.

Newcastle Jets have enjoyed a number of highlights at Hunter Stadium throughout the regular season, including wins over reigning Champions Melbourne Victory and high-flyers Melbourne City.

In round 8 the club celebrated its first ever RAAF Base Williamtown Round against Brisbane Roar with a spectacular pre-match flyover from three Hornets, while in round 20 Morten Nordstrand underlined his arrival at the club with a stunning brace as the Jets saw off Wellington Phoenix 3-2.

The club saw out 2015 with a dazzling fireworks display following a draw with Adelaide United, while kids on the field – which will return this Saturday following the Perth contest – proved so be a big hit following a number of games, including the round 10 Community Round presented by the Greater Building Society.

There will be plenty happening at Saturday’s match at Hunter Stadium, with the Easter Bunny of course in attendance.

Scott Miller’s team will also wear special Autism Spectrum Australia branded home kits this Saturday, with club major partner Beechwood Homes having donated their front of jersey space to gain awareness for their charity partner.

Former players who represented Newcastle on the national stage will be recognised at Saturday’s match via the club’s annual Old Boys’ Day. Players from many eras of Newcastle’s footballing history will form a guard of honour as the teams take to the pitch for round 25.
