Jets Head Coach Mark Jones today named a preliminary 18-player squad for Saturday’s final home match of the Hyundai A-League 2016/17 Season.
The versatile John Koutroumbis will miss the next one to two matches due to a groin injury he sustained in New Zealand last week.
Midfielders Ben Kantarovski and Mateo Poljak may feature for the Jets this week against Wanderers, while Nick Cowburn has also been promoted to the preliminary squad.
For the past fortnight Cowburn has been in Spain with an Australian Development Squad. He featured in two matches in Murcia – a 1-1 draw against Austria U21 and a 2-0 loss to Finland U21.
