Newcastle Jets Head Coach Mark Jones has today named an initial 18-player squad for Sunday’s crunch #F3Derby against Central Coast Mariners in Gosford.
With influential midfielder Wayne Brown suspended due to yellow card accumulation, three players have been added to the squad that lost 3-0 to Western Sydney Wanderers last Saturday.
Finn Aleksandr Kokko, defender Ivan Vujica plus the versatile John Koutroumbis are in contention to feature in one of the most important #F3Derby duels over the past decade.
The Jets can hand the wooden spoon to Central Coast if they secure a win in Gosford, however a loss would put Newcastle in serious trouble of finishing last themselves leading into the final regular season round of the Hyundai A-League.
