Connor Chapman interviewed his Jets teammates to get their thoughts on Newcastle’s 0-0 draw with Brisbane last Friday.

Injured Hunter Ports Newcastle Jets defender Connor Chapman interviewed his Jets teammates in the Hunter Stadium sheds following their 0-0 draw with Brisbane Roar last Friday night.

Chapman spoke with Reading Cinemas Player of the Week Mark Birighitti about dealing with the challenging weather conditions during the match.

“It was tough conditions out there and to get a point was a good result,” Birighitti said.

“Obviously we would have liked three points, but we-ll take the point and I thought the boys fought well.”

Jets forward Adam Taggart echoed Birighitti-s sentiments saying that while it would have been nice to get all three points, a draw was still an acceptable outcome from the match.

“At the end of the day a draw was probably not a bad result considering where we-re sitting and the importance of staying in the top six, but I think at home it would have been good to try and grab the win,” Taggart said.

Taylor Regan said he was pleased with the performance of the Jets- defence after keeping their second consecutive clean sheet.

“I thought it was a game of two halves. Early in the first half we played quite well, then the weather hit and we sort of lost our way a little bit,” he said.

“In the second half I thought we were the better side and we were probably unlucky not to pinch a goal, but I think a draw was a fair result.”
