Newcastle Jets Head Coach Mark Jones has named a preliminary 18-player squad for Friday night’s Hyundai A-League clash with Melbourne City in Coffs Harbour.

Andrew Hoole is set to return from his one-game suspension against City at C.ex Coffs International Stadium, while attacker Morten Nordstrand will return from concussion.

Recently recruited fullback Joel Allwright has travelled with the squad to the home of the Big Banana, and may also be set for his Hyundai A-League bow.

Aleksandr Kokko hasn’t travelled to the Coffs Coast, while Ben Kantarovski (knee), Wayne Brown (hip-flexor) and Ivan Vujica (hamstring) are edging closer to being available for selection again after their respective injuries.

Newcastle Jets will train at C.ex Coffs International Stadium this morning before taking on City at the venue at 7:50pm on Friday night.

The game will be broadcast live on both FOX SPORTS and SBS VICELAND.
