Newcastle Jets could receive a welcome boost for the Club’s Hyundai A-League 2016/17 Round 5 clash with Wellington Phoenix in New Zealand on Saturday, with dynamic winger Andrew Nabbout selected in Mark Jones’ squad to travel to the land of the long white cloud.
Nabbout sustained a groin injury against Western Sydney Wanderers in round 3 after impressing in the opening weeks of the competition.
Under the guidance of the Club’s medical staff, Nabbout returned to training with the group this week and will now make the trip across the ditch as one of Jones’ options.
Ben Kantarovski sustained a knee injury in last weekend’s loss against Sydney FC and will subsequently miss out this weekend, though the experienced Labinot Haliti will travel.
