Support the Jets support White Ribbon Day this Sunday

White Ribbon is an organisation that works to prevent male violence against women.

One in three Australian women has experienced physical or sexual violence in her lifetime – this statistic is unacceptable.

White Ribbon is an organisation that works to prevent male violence against women, and this weekend, during the game against Wellington Phoenix, the Newcastle Jets are showing their support for this vital national campaign.

There will be a number of things happening, both on field and off, at the stadium on Sunday, and by attending the game, you have the chance not only support a great cause but also to get up close with some of our players on the McDonalds Family Hill before kick-off.

“We are thrilled to be involved with such an important campaign,” said Jets captain Jobe Wheelhouse.

Hunter Venues are installing a huge White Ribbon on the front of Hunter Stadium and their staff will be selling white ribbons (they are just $2) around the ground on game day.

White Ribbon Day is on the 25th of November, and you can do your bit to support the ‘My Oath- campaign by clicking here and swearing never to commit, excuse or remain silent about violence against women.
