We will be taking a lot of confidence and self-belief into Saturday’s home game against Melbourne Heart.

After two wins away from home and three games undefeated, we will be taking a lot of confidence and self-belief into Saturday-s home game against Melbourne Heart.

The entire team contributed during our fantastic 5-2 win over Sydney FC on Sunday. It is fair to say all our players have played their part in the success over the last month and it is nice to see all the hard work paying off.

With this year being Jobe-s (Wheelhouse) seventh with the Club, whilst we expect a lot from our captain on and off the field, since returning from injury he has been calm and has controlled the midfield well for us.

All the boys respect their captain and it is great to have his experience back in the team at this important time of year.

The experience of Frannie (Jeffers) and (Michael) Bridgey is also doing wonders for the team, they are a different kind of player. They are clever and read the game really well with the ability to find space and create opportunities for Jeremy Brockie, Ryan Griffiths and Tarek Elrich.

We are expecting some tough competition from the Heart this weekend. Last time we came across this team we did not fair too well and are looking forward to the opportunity to redeem ourselves in front of our Members and supporters. Hopefully the end result it one similar to when we played them at Hunter Stadium in Week 1, when we took the 3-points.

Heart have played pretty much the same way each week; they are very mobile and have some skilful players in the front third. They have also recently added some experience to their squad with the signing of former Socceroo Paul Reid.

We know exactly what we have to do to beat them on Saturday and it is up to us to not only match what they bring but also go one better to remain undefeated in four matches.

The League is very tight and we have to keep working hard so we remain in finals contention.

We hope to have all our Members and supporters in the stands of Hunter Stadium this Saturday night.
