Tickets are now on sale for the Jets Week 16 match to be played in Bathurst against Adelaide United.

Football fans across the Central West can now secure their seats to the one of the biggest sporting events of 2012. Tickets are now on sale for the Hyundai A-League clash between the Newcastle Jets and Adelaide United, which will be battled out at Carrington Park in Bathurst on January 25.

The match is an official fixture, where three valuable competition points will be on the line. It will be played in the Central West as part of an initiative from the Football Federation of Australia that will see five of this season-s matches taken to new venues around Australia and New Zealand.

Bathurst is the only regional centre in NSW to have won the right to host a match.

“Having this game played here at Carrington Park is a fantastic coup for Bathurst,” said Mayor Greg Westman.

“This match will give people west of the mountains an opportunity to enjoy a top line sporting contest, close to home. Football is a very popular sport in our region and I-m sure people across the Central West are looking forward to seeing Adelaide and Newcastle take the park in Bathurst next month.”

The Week 16 clash will be played on Wednesday, 25 January at Carrington Park, Bathurst on the eve of Australia Day. It will be a night match, with kick off at 7:30pm.

The match is being hosted by Western NSW Football, with the support of Bathurst Regional Council, and will be broadcast live across Australia and New Zealand on Fox Sports.

There are two categories of tickets – reserved seating and general admission, and family packages are also available.

Tickets are on sale at the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre. They can be purchased in-person at the Box Office, over the phone (6333 6161), and also online via the What-s On page.
