Topor-Stanley re-signs with Jets

Colossal defender and fan favourite Nikolai Topor-Stanley has put pen to paper on a new two-year deal with the club.

The Newcastle Jets are pleased to announce the re-signing of Nikolai Topor-Stanley for the next two seasons.

Topor-Stanley has been a central figure for the Jets defence this season and his signing comes at a time when the club enters an exciting chapter in its history.

“I am really pleased to know that I am in Newcastle for the next two seasons. The club is certainly heading in the right direction and I am happy knowing that I am going to be a part of it,” Topor-Stanley said.

Mr Ray Baartz, Chairman of the Jets Football Advisory Board, said the club was pleased to have re-signed Topor-Stanley who was emerging as a strong leader of the club.

“Nikolai has been a rock of our defence this season and he has come a long way in such a short amount of time.”

“Nikolai will form the basis of our leadership group over the next two years and is a great role model for our young players that we have coming through,” Baartz said.

Topor-Stanley has been named on the shortlist for the PFA Team of the Season and is pushing for a recall to the Qantas Socceroos squad.
