Two games for junior Jets this week

The Newcastle Jets Youth team will be in action twice this week, and both clashes will be against teams from the big smoke.

On Wednesday the junior Jets will face Sydney FC Youth at Magic Park in a catch up game from earlier in the season. Kick-off is 4:00pm and entry is free.

“We expect a difficult game [against Sydney],” Jets Youth Head Coach James Pascoe said. “The game gives our young boys a chance to show that they’re up to it.”

On Sunday Pascoe’s charges will take on Western Sydney Wanderers Youth. Kick-off is at 3:00pm and admission is also complimentary.

“We had quite a good 2-0 win over Western Sydney Wanderers Youth at their ground just a few weeks ago,” Pascoe added. “So we’ll look to do the same on Sunday.”

“If we can manage to get four out of six points I think that puts us in really good stead to push on and climb into the top four by seasons end,” he said.

Jets Youth played on Sunday against Adelaide United Youth at Magic Park, and came away with a 2-1 victory.

After falling behind 1-0, goals from Braedyn Crowley and Tom Waller ensured that Newcastle Youth emerged victors on home soil.
