VIDEO | Carney’s disallowed wonder goal against Juve

Newcastle Jets winger David Carney produced a moment of brilliance in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Italian giants Juventus.

Carney appeared to have levelled the scores at 1-1 moments after the half-time restart, with an audacious a shot from halfway directly from the kick-off that cleared the head of Juventus goalkeeper Marco Storari and nestled in the back of the net.

However, Storari and the Juventus players protested that they hadn’t been ready for the resumption of play and the Jets were ordered to retake the kick-off.
