SBS Television’s Chief Football Analyst Craig Foster has labelled the Newcastle Jets as a “much different prospect now than what they were just several weeks ago”.
Foster made the comments in a video preview of Friday’s Hyundai A-League fight between Newcastle and Sydney FC at Hunter Stadium, noting that the Jets have been “so much better in recent months”.
Foster also singled individuals out for praise, including Enver Alivodic, Edson Montaño, Mitch Cooper and Daniel Mullen. He described Jets custodian Ben Kennedy – who will skipper the side tomorrow night – as “unbelievable”.
“It should be a really fantastic match,” Foster said of the encounter between the Jets and Graham Arnold’s Sky Blues. “I can’t wait for this game.”
