W-League: Consistency key for Deans’ squad

Without any new injuries to speak of, and current ones still pestering three members of the Jets squad, Craig Deans has named an unchanged 15 for Saturday afternoon’s clash with Canberra.

There was some concern for Teigan Collister following her heavy collision with Wanderers ‘keeper, Abby Smith in last weekend’s loss in Parramatta but she has overcome that knock and is fully fit for this Round 3 encounter.

The match does shape as a big one for one defender in particular: Hannah Brewer.

A rock in the Jets defence, Brewer will celebrate her 100th Westfield W-League appearance should she take to the pitch in the Canberra encounter on Tuesday afternoon.

With 72 (and counting) appearances for the Jets, she’s currently the Club’s fourth-most capped player (behind Gema Simon, Tara Andrews, and Cassidy Davis).
