Newcastle Jets Westfield W-League Coach, Craig Deans has named his first squad of the 2018/19 season for the Round 2 clash away to Melbourne Victory at Lakeside Stadium.

The side’s first ever Thursday night match is likely to see the debut of a number of new faces in Newcastle Jets colours, with Larissa Crummer and Taylor Smith among the new recruits looking fit and ready to fire.

The returning Libby Copus-Brown is also a chance of making the final 15-woman squad, while Teigan Collister could be in line for a Westfield W-League debut.

FIVE THINGS: What you need to know for Thursday night

The only unavailable player for Round 2 is Hannah Brewer, who is serving a one-match suspension after her red card in last year’s Semi Final loss to Sydney FC.
