W-League: Deans names squad for Sunday

Craig Deans is hoping that consistency is the key to picking up back-to-back wins this weekend.

The same 16 which beat out Perth Glory in a thriller at No.2 Sportsground last weekend are in the mix to take on Melbourne City this weekend.

With consistency through the squad assured, the question now turns to whether or not Deans will elect for consistency in his starting XI.

FIVE THINGS: The talking points for City

Tessa Tamplin will fancy her chances of retaining her spot in the starting lineup after a stellar debut and a good 72 minutes against Perth last weekend.

If things do stay the same, it’ll provide Larissa Crummer with a good opportunity to continue to demonstrate her ability at the heart of defence.

A backline of her, Cass Davis, and Hannah Brewer were immense in shutting down the talent of Sam Kerr last weekend and will want to kick on this Sunday.
