W-League: Flannery returns for penultimate clash

The penultimate squad for the Westfield W-League 2019/20 season has been named, with a big attacking in for the Jets.

Nicki Flannery will return from injury after that lower leg setback which saw her miss the last two matches after coming off early in mid-January against City.

She’ll look to challenge for a spot in the attacking third and contribute this weekend against Melbourne Victory, while further back there will be a forced change with Clare Wheeler ruled out due to the ankle injury she sustained in the win over Adelaide.

The midfield fulcrum just misses out on Sunday, but will push hard for the final match of the season next Thursday against Adelaide.

Sophie Nenadovic, promoted into the extended squad after missing out on the matchday squad against Adelaide on February 1, is one player who could be an option in the midfield for Ash Wilson.
