The Newcastle Jets W-League team supported their male counterparts at Saturday’s Member-s Launch match against Western Sydney Wanderers.
The Newcastle Jets women attended the match to support the men in their game that ended in a 1-all draw and were seen walking around the pitch handing out red and blue balloons to young fans of the club.
At half-time, the women Jets were invited onto the pitch where they were announced and introduced to the fans and an interview with Hayley Crawford was conducted.
Coaches Wayne O-Sullivan and Peter McGuinness were also interviewed at half time and are confident that the girls will do well and perform at a high level in the upcoming Westfield W-League season.
At the end of the match the A-league, Youth League and W-League players were available to sign autographs and meet and greet the loyal fans.
The Newcastle Jets women-s side will kick off the 2012/13 Westfield W-League season on October 21 against Sydney FC at Leichardt Oval.
