New American signings, Tiffany Boshers, Tori Huster and Angela Salem were last week invited by Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service to take part in a scenic flight over Newcastle.

Recently arriving in Newcastle to play in the Newcastle Jets W-League side, the players were grateful to be given the opportunity to learn more about their new home.

“I have never been in a helicopter before, and to see Newcastle from above was an amazing opportunity for all of us”, Boshers said.

“Everyone has been so welcoming which has made the transition to moving to Australia a lot easier.

“We are so grateful for the experience of flying around Newcastle and the pilot-s even gave us some history which made it all the more interesting.”

Richard Jones from the WRHS was excited to give the players an opportunity to see Newcastle.

“The Westpac Rescue Helicopter is proud to host the girls and do a cross promotion with Northern NSW Football” Jones said.

The players will continue to work with their new teammates and coach Wayne Sullivan in preparation for the kick off of the W-League season, which is less than a month away.
