Jobe Wheelhouse will miss Saturday’s F3 Derby clash with the Central Coast Mariners after injuring his right knee at training.
Hunter Ports Newcastle Jets captain Jobe Wheelhouse will miss Saturday’s F3 Derby clash with the Central Coast Mariners after injuring his right knee at training on Tuesday.
Wheelhouse suffered what is believed to be between a grade 1 and grade 2 sprain to his medial collateral ligament (MCL) and will be unavailable for Saturday’s game.
He will have scans in the coming days to confirm the grading of the sprain and the anticipated recovery time.
It is a double-header at Hunter Stadium this Saturday night. The Jets Youth team play the Central Coast Mariners Youth team prior to the A-League F3 Derby clash at 7.45pm.
