Wheelhouse, a product of the Newcastle Football system was thrilled to extend his career with the Newcastle Jets for the next two seasons as the club embarks on what he believes to be the most exciting period in its history.

“I am really happy to have this locked away and know that for the next two seasons I am going to be playing my part in this exciting time for the Jets”.

“Being from Newcastle, it is a great honour to be able to represent my City at the highest level”. Wheelhouse said.

Tinkler Sports Group Chief Executive Officer Mr. Troy Palmer, said the signing of the former Under 20 National, reaffirmed the Jets goal of ensuring the best local talent remained in Newcastle.

“Jobe was an important signing for us. Not only is he a Newcastle Junior, he is a very talented Footballer. We want to see the Jets fielding as many talented juniors as possible”.

“The club has been strong in our recent re-signings and our new acquisitions- and we expect this continue as we build an exciting Football Club for the Newcastle Community”, Palmer said.
