The 27-year old, who limped off the pitch at training on Tuesday, will be sidelined for a minimum of three weeks.
“The scan gave us better news than we expected,” Physiotherapist Robert Dingle said.
“At this stage, he will miss at least the next two games, and we will continue to monitor and assess him.
“He has already started controlled rehab and he will progress as his knee tolerates.”
Ruben Zadkovich has been handed the captain’s armband for Saturday’s clash with the Central Coast Mariners at Hunter Stadium.
It is a double-header at Hunter Stadium this Saturday night. The Jets Youth team play the Central Coast Mariners Youth team prior to the A-League F3 Derby clash at 7.45pm.
