Youth-s goalkeeper Jack Duncan has helped the Young Socceroos qualify for the AFC U-19 Championships after defeating Indonesia 4-1 yesterday.

Playing in stormy and humid conditions at MBPJ Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, the team got off to an early lead after Jamie Maclaren struck the ball perfectly.

Moments later the Young Socceroos lead was extended thanks to a successful shot at goal by Maclaren.

As the clock counted down, Terry Antonis chipped the ball past the opposition to give the team a 3-nil lead going into half time.

The Young Socceroos continued to dominate in the second half, with Maclaren scoring his third goal of the match, 4-nil.

Newcastle Jets Youth player, Jack Duncan did a great job in goals, managing to keep Indonesia pointless until the 75th minute when he was unable to get a hand to a penalty shot, 4-1.

The Young Socceroos will play their final qualifying match against China PR on Tuesday, which will effectively determine which of the two teams finish top of the group.

Good luck to Jack Duncan and the Young Socceroos.
