Biography
A member of Australia’s 2018 FIFA World Cup squad, Dimi Petratos is a player whose sky-high potential is being realised at the Newcastle Jets.
One of four siblings currently with the club throughout it’s Hyundai A-League and Westfield W-League squads, Dimi is the eldest. His ability from set pieces and creative flair make him a handful for any opposition side.
The highlight of Dimi’s time so far with the Newcastle Jets was a man-of-the-match performance in round eight of the 2017/18 season, when he set up two goals and nearly scored two more in a 4-1 win over Melbourne Victory.
He also dominated the end of 2017/18 season awards night, picking up the Newcastle’s Player of the Year award, Ray Baartz Medal, and the Member’s Player of the Year award.
Petratos made his debut for the club on 9 August 2017 in the Jets’ 1-0 defeat to Adelaide United in the FFA Cup.
