biography-icon Biography
22. A towering centre-back with ambitions to kick on to the national team, Lachlan Jackson has big wraps from the coaching staff in Newcastle. With two appearances for the national team (under 23s level) under his belt, Jackson started his A-League career in Brisbane. He made his A-League debut in 2014. He scored his one goal for the Roar against the Newcastle Jets. Jackson moved to Newcastle in 2015 and made his debut for the Jets back on 23 October 2015, starting in a 1-0 win over Melbourne Victory. The highlight of his time so far at the Jets would be his sole goal for the club. He scored a header at the back post in that 8-2 win over the Central Coast Mariners at the end of the 2017/18 season. After rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament, Jackson worked his way back into the first-team squad and is working hard on establishing himself as an imposing force in the defensive line.
