Ronald Vargas

Perhaps the most explosive foreign player that the Newcastle Jets have ever boasted, Venezuelan midfielder Ronny Vargas is still to showcase his best form in Jets colours. It’s been a stellar career so far for the midfielder, who has good pedigree having played games for clubs such as Anderlecht, Club Brugge, and AEK Athens throughout Europe – he’s also been capped 23 times for Venezuela. Vargas’ first appearance for the Newcastle Jets was on 7 October 2017, when he starred in a 5-1 demolition of the Central Coast Mariners.
